What we do

Everything from your roof to your lawn

Gutter guards

Keep out leaves, needles, shingle grit and June cottonwood fluff, so you're not back on the ladder every spring.

Cleaning & flushing

Hand-cleaned troughs and fully flushed downspouts. We flow-test every run before we leave.

Repairs & resealing

Leaky seams, dripping end caps, loose hangers and sagging runs, fixed and resealed so water goes where it should.

Downspout re-routes

Downspout dumping beside the foundation or across the walkway? We extend and redirect it to a safe discharge spot.

Dry creek beds

Graded, fabric-lined pebble channels that carry roof water away. They work as drainage and look like landscaping.

Minor roof repairs

Missing or damaged shingles replaced, wind-lifted tabs re-secured, and flashing, vents and drip edge resealed. Small fixes now stop leaks and rot later.

Dry creek beds

Why rock is the best way to move roof water

A downspout dumps hundreds of litres onto one spot in a heavy rain or spring melt. A rock-lined dry creek bed takes that water and carries it safely away from your home.

Slows the water down

Stones break up the flow so fast-moving roof water can't carve a trench or blast out the soil at the end of the downspout.

Stops erosion

Rock is heavy and stays put. Soil, mulch and bark wash away in a downpour, but a stone channel holds its shape through storms and spring melt.

Lets water soak in gradually

The gaps between stones let water drain into the ground along the channel instead of pooling against your foundation. It dries quickly, so you get less mud and fewer mosquitoes.

Holds up to Alberta winters

Rock doesn't rot, crack or heave with freeze-thaw cycles. The bed is ready to work again the moment the snow starts melting.

Keeps weeds out

We lay landscape fabric under the stone and finish the edges, so weeds stay out and the rock doesn't sink into the dirt.

Looks like landscaping

Finished in polished river pebble, a dry creek bed adds curb appeal and needs no mowing, watering or re-mulching.

Why it matters

Gutter damage starts at your roof and ends at your foundation

When gutters overflow, the damage moves down your house one expensive step at a time:

  1. Your shingles go first. Water that can't drain backs up under the roof edge and wears out the shingles years early.
  2. Then the roof starts to rot. Moisture soaks into the roof deck, fascia and soffits, and wet wood rots.
  3. Then it reaches your foundation. Overflow pours down the walls and saturates the soil around your home, causing cracks, leaks and a wet basement. Foundation repair is one of the most expensive fixes a homeowner can face.

Why it's worse here in Alberta:

  • Spring melt hits fast. When gutters are clogged, all that snowmelt spills over and soaks the soil right against your foundation.
  • Ice dams start in the trough. Standing water and debris freeze, back up under shingles and pull hangers loose.
  • Cottonwood & poplar fluff. Fort Sask's mature trees fill gutters every June. Guards stop it at the edge.
  • Short downspouts cause a lot of wet basements. Water dumped a foot from the wall finds its way in. Re-routing it is cheap insurance.

Already seeing worn or missing shingles? We handle minor roof repairs too, so small damage gets fixed before it turns into rot.

FAQ

Questions homeowners ask us

What's included in your gutter guard package?

Gutter guards installed, a full cleaning and flush of your gutters and downspouts, repair of minor cosmetic issues, and resealing of seams and end caps. Debris is bagged and hauled away.

How often should gutters be cleaned in Alberta?

Without guards, most homes need it at least twice a year, once after the spring cottonwood season and once after the leaves drop in fall. With guards, it's usually a quick check-up instead of a full clean.

Do gutter guards really work?

Good guards keep out leaves, needles and seed fluff so water can still get in. They don't make gutters maintenance-free forever, but they stop the clogs that cause overflow and ice dams.

What roof repairs do you do?

Minor cosmetic roof repairs: replacing missing or damaged shingles, re-securing shingles lifted by wind, and resealing flashing, vents and drip edge. They catch small problems early, before water gets under the shingles. For full re-roofs or major structural damage, we'll tell you honestly and point you to a roofer.

What is a dry creek bed and do I need one?

It's a shallow, graded channel lined with landscape fabric and finished in stone. It carries roof water from your downspout away from the house. If water pools by your foundation, deck or walkway, it's one of the best-looking fixes there is.

How do I get a price?

Fill out the quote form or call/text 780-616-4972. We'll give you a written, itemized quote valid for 30 days. Scheduling and payment terms are confirmed when you accept.

Is a gutter the same as an eavestrough?

Yes. In Canada, "eavestrough" and "gutter" mean the same thing: the trough along your roof edge that catches rain and snowmelt and sends it to the downspouts. We clean, guard and repair both, whatever you call them.

What areas do you serve?

Fort Saskatchewan and the whole greater Edmonton area, including Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Leduc, Beaumont, Morinville, Gibbons, Bon Accord, Bruderheim, Lamont, Redwater, Josephburg, Devon, and Sturgeon, Strathcona, Parkland and Leduc County.
